When boats leave

Set departure days, not daily.

Shared boats sail on published dates, not on request. The calendar runs April to November, with three or four departures a month.

  • Fixed dates

    Shared open-trip

The standard 4D3N sailing, April to November.

  • Any day

    Private charter

The whole boat, leaving on the date you choose.

  • Faster

    Fast boat

A quicker surface crossing when dates are tight.

If the fixed schedule does not fit your dates, a private charter removes the constraint entirely.

All 100 answered questions

Is the crossing safe?

In the dry season, April to November, the passage is generally calm and this route carries thousands of travellers a year. Seas are rougher from December to March, which is when some crossings pause rather than sail it.

It is one-way — how do I get back?

Most travellers fly out of Labuan Bajo's Komodo Airport, which has several daily connections to Bali. You can also sail the same route in reverse on another departure.

Can I sail it in reverse, Komodo to Lombok?

Yes. The reverse runs Labuan Bajo → Padar → Komodo → Manta Point → Satonda → Moyo → East Lombok on the same 4D3N format, with its own published departure dates.

What should I pack?

Travel light: a soft bag rather than a hard suitcase, sunscreen, a hat, swimwear, a light jacket for night sailing, and motion-sickness tablets if you are prone to it.
