Crossing FAQ
What are the sea conditions really like?
Apr–Dec is prime dry-season sailing with the calmest water. Jan–Feb brings monsoon swell and some crossings pause — we tell you plainly rather than sail into rough seas.
It's one-way — how do I get home?
The Lombok → Komodo crossing disembarks in Labuan Bajo (Flores). You fly home from LBJ airport. Prefer to return to Lombok? Choose the round-trip or the Komodo → Lombok direction in the planner.
Open-trip or private charter?
Open-trip shares the phinisi with other guests at a lower per-person cost. Private charter gives you the whole boat, a flexible route and your own timings. The planner shows the inclusions for each.
What's included in the fare?
Typically your berth, all meals aboard, snorkel gear, guide and land transfers. Komodo National Park entrance and ranger fees are paid locally on arrival — flagged indicative, as of 2026.
Are the dragon-park fees extra?
Yes — national park conservation and ranger fees are set by the park and payable on arrival, so we keep them separate from the boat fare rather than bundle an invented figure.
